TONIGHT,  Friday,  Jan. 10th, at 10:00 p.m. Central time, I will be a guest on an online radio talk show!  The most exciting part of this engagement opportunity is that readers will be able to call in to say hi, express thoughts of a book and/or ask me questions!   The chance to connect with others is one of my most favorite parts of being a writer.  I thrive on making meaningful connections and participating in a radio talk show in which I’m allowed to interact with listeners is a fantastic way to encourage that !   The interview will be very informal, with the host Kim Smith and I mainly just chatting about “Broken”, the writing process, why I take exception to the “YA” categorization of my books and whatever else comes up in conversation; for readers,  it will be a time to get to hear me speak about the books in a much more relaxed way than attending a speech or even a signing.

While the host has had the opportunity to read “Broken” and that book will be used to kickstart the conversation,  both the host and I encourage dialogue about any of the writings.  Thanks in great part to this blog, I am an open book and  unafraid of personal questions.  I would greatly appreciate any and all support–and especially the chance to interact with you!   Perhaps you’ve read a few of the many excerpts or perhaps you  have a question about one of Ash’s stories or maybe you want to know more about another character;  perhaps, as a reader of this blog, you know I homeschool my daughters and have questions about that;  perhaps you’d like to ask about my traveling as a speaker or maybe there’s something specific you’d like to ask or say about my past.   Or maybe you’ve read one of the books and would just like to let me know what you thought.  All readers—those of the books and those of the blogs—are more than strangers to me;  you’re friends.  This is a perfect opportunity to interact!      To participate in the show,  please call (917) 889-9107  from within the United States on Friday, Jan. 10, 2014 at 10:00 p.m. Central Standard time. I can’t wait to hear from you!

It would be wonderful to have you listen in on the show even if you’d rather not or are unable to call in!   To listen to the show,  you can click  here TONIGHT,  Friday,  January 10th, 2014 at 10:00 p.m. Central Standard time.

I am humbled and grateful for the opportunity to share thoughts with anyone, and am looking forward to this opportunity!
